So, your Carbon Garden Kit has arrived. It's sitting on your bench, looking beautiful, and you're ready to get started. But maybe you're also wondering: what exactly do I do now?
Good news: it's simpler than you think. The Carbon Garden Program is built around a straightforward spray rotation, and the results speak for themselves. But knowing what to expect in those first 30 days, and understanding why you're doing what you're doing, makes the whole experience so much more rewarding.
Here's your guide to the first month.
Before You Spray Anything: Get to Know What You've Got
Your Kit arrives with everything you need to get started, no extra trips to the garden store required. The three hero products are your foundation:
CropBioLife Activator is the star of the show. This activated flavonoid formula kickstarts your plant's natural metabolic system, boosting photosynthesis, increasing energy production, and helping your plants absorb nutrients far more efficiently, resulting in a cascade of health benefits. Think of it as switching your plants from economy mode to peak performance.
Plant Food is a gentle, organic macronutrient fertiliser made from Australian seaweed. It feeds your plants nitrogen, potassium, phosphorous, and more, without the risk of over-fertilising.
Plant Tonic is a powerful micronutrient blend that delivers essential trace minerals most Australian soils are lacking. Minerals that roots often struggle to absorb on their own.
These three products are designed to work together. The CropBioLife Activator doesn't just nourish, it makes your plants dramatically better at absorbing everything else you give them. That's the magic of the system.

Week 1: Your First Spray - Plant Food
Your first spray is Plant Food.
Mix 10ml of Plant Food per litre of water, shake well, and spray onto leaves until they are wet. That's it.
A few things to keep in mind right from the start:
Spray early morning or late evening. This gives the product time to properly absorb through the leaf surface without the stress of intense sun or heat. Applying during the hottest part of the day can increase the risk of leaf burn, reduce uptake, and place additional stress on already heat-affected plants. Avoid spraying during frost, freezing conditions, or extreme heat, and if it’s particularly hot or windy, wait for milder conditions.
Spray the leaves, not the roots. These are foliar sprays, meaning the plants absorb them directly through their foliage. This is intentional. It's a fast, efficient delivery system that bypasses a lot of the limitations of soil uptake.
Don't overdo it. More product does not mean faster results. Stick to the schedule and trust the process.
Week 2: The Combination Spray - Plant Tonic + CropBioLife Activator
Week two is where things get interesting.
Mix 2ml of Plant Tonic and 2ml of CropBioLife Activator per litre of water together in the same spray bottle, shake well, and apply to your plants as before.
Combining these two products is intentional. The CropBioLife Activator works to open up the plant's nutrient uptake pathways, so when the Plant Tonic's micronutrients arrive at the same time, the plant can actually use them. It's a beautifully efficient system, and one that's been refined over more than a decade of agricultural research.
This is also the week you might start noticing your first subtle changes. Leaves may appear a little greener, a little more vibrant. Some gardeners notice their plants looking more upright and alive.
Don't worry if you don't see dramatic changes yet. The real transformation is happening below the surface, within the plant and in plant's root system, and into the soil's microbiome.
Week 3: Back to Plant Food
Week three mirrors week one. Mix 10ml of Plant Food per litre of water and spray your plants as before.
By this point, your plants have had two rounds of treatment, and the CropBioLife Activator from last week is still doing its work, improving the efficiency with which your plants absorb this round of macronutrients.
This is also a great week to start observing your plants more closely. Look at the colour of the leaves. Are they deeper green? Are new growth points looking healthy and strong? Are pests noticeably less present? These are all signs the program is doing exactly what it should.
Week 4: The Combination Spray Again - Plant Tonic + CropBioLife Activator
You're back to the combination spray for your final week of the first cycle: 2ml of Plant Tonic and 2ml of CropBioLife Activator per litre of water.
By the end of week four, most gardeners start to see clearly visible results. Greener, fuller foliage, stronger new growth, increased flowers or fruit setting, and a garden that simply looks healthier.
Your soil is also in a better place than it was 30 days ago. The CropBioLife Activator supports root exudation, the process by which plants secrete carbohydrates into the soil to feed beneficial microbes, meaning the health of the underground ecosystem in your garden has been quietly improving the whole time.
What to Expect (and Not to Expect) in the First 30 Days
Every garden is different, and results depend on the health of your soil, your plant types, the season, and how consistently you follow the spray schedule.
That said, here's a general sense of what many gardeners experience:
Weeks 1 and 2: Subtle changes. Leaves may appear a little glossier or greener. Root systems are starting to strengthen below the surface.
Weeks 2 and 3: More noticeable vibrancy. New growth tends to look stronger and more lush. Some gardeners notice fewer pest issues, as healthier plants naturally deter them.
Week 4 and beyond: Clearer, more visible results. Stronger plants, deeper colour, and for veggie or fruit growers, more flowers and better yields starting to develop.
The program is designed to build over time. The second month is even better than the first, and the third better still.
You're not just feeding your plants - you're regenerating the entire ecosystem of your garden.
A Few Tips for Your First Month
Use the 3-in-1 Garden Meter that came with your kit to check your soil's moisture and pH levels. Healthy plants need the right environment, not just good nutrition.
Don't mix CropBioLife with compost teas or other biological sprays. Keep it simple and stick to the program as designed.
Clean your spray bottle well after each use. The products are naturally dark in colour and can stain surfaces if left to sit.
Take photos. Seriously… photograph your plants before you start and again at the end of week four. The difference is often more dramatic than you realise when you're watching it gradually day by day.
Then What?
After your first 30 days, you simply repeat the 4-week cycle. The program is designed to run continuously through the growing season, with each rotation building on the last.
Your kit is highly concentrated, so one kit is designed to last more than 12 months depending on your garden size, meaning your investment goes a long way.
And when you're ready to go deeper, The Carbon Garden's Educational Resources are full of free guides covering everything from companion planting to composting to growing specific plants naturally.
